210 ローカルビジネスと建築(1)

Facebook上に「ローカルビジネス」が増えているように感じる。

「ローカルビジネス」、今のところの英語訳は「brick-and-mortar business」。

オンライン上の店舗に対して、レンガとモルタルで作られた、つまり実在店舗によるビジネスを意味するようだ。

You may notice that on facebook the 'Local buisiness' spots are increasing nowadays. 'Local Buisiness'.  In English (at that point), 'Brick-and-Mortar Buisiness'. That says the Real Shops, against the Online(=unreal) Shops.

Tu puedes notar que en facebook, las paginas de 'Local buisiness'  estan aumentando hoy en dia. 'Local Buisiness'. En ingles 'Brick-and-Mortar Buisiness' . Se significa las Tiendas Real,  en contra de las Tiendas Online.

「ローカルビジネス」という言葉も「brick-and-mortar」もそれを正しく言い表せているかはさておき、2018年頃から自分の住む池袋にも、その他の地域にも共通する動きとして、徐々に目立ちつつある。

不思議なもので、誰かが始めてそれを真似するように後続が現れていったというよりは、同時発生的に様々な地域で、ある一つの類似する想いから始まっていき、それが完成してみたら他の地域にもあったというような状況のように感じる。

 The words may not be the exact meaning, anyway from the begining of 2018, in Ikebukuro and the other citys, this kind of movements are appearing gradually. The interesting thing is that, these movements are occurring simultaneously in several district, begun from one similar sentiment, rather than are the imitations of some one success.

 Las palabras pueden no ser significado exacto, de todos modos, desde principios de 2018, en Ikebukuro y otros ciudades, este tipo de movimentos estan apareciendo gradualmente. La cosa interesante es, estos movimentos estan ocurriendo simultaneamente en varios distritos, se han comenzado a partir de un sentimiento similar,  en lugar de son las imitaciones de algun exito.

<喫茶ランドリー>

自分の認識している限りでは、都内では2018年初めの喫茶ランドリー(墨田区両国)開業がこうした動きの皮切りのように思う。調べるとオープンしたのは2018年1月のようだが、2019年2月に訪問した時には既に近隣住民の交流場として非常に賑わっていた。

利用者はもとよりカフェ店員などの運営も近隣住民が行なっているとのこと。

 レンタルスペースやコミュニティカフェなど、似たような用途のものはその前から存在していた。それらとの一番の違いは、多用途がミックスされており、且つよりその地域の生活に対してフォーカスされているというところだと思う。

活動は多様であるが用がなければ立ち寄りづらいレンタルスペースと、立ち寄りやすいけれど商店建築寄りになってしまうコミュニティカフェの、長所を合わせ、短所を補ったような形態ともいえる。

 As long as I've noticed, in Tokyo, the opening of 'Kissa Laundry' in Ryogoku in the early-2018 may be the beginning of these movments. When I visited there in Februaly 2019, already used by many local residents and has been a great community space.

The similar facilities like 'rental space' or 'community cafe' existed before. The big difference from those is that, mixed use of functions and focused on the life of its district. Having various activities but 'rental space' is difficult to non-purpose visit. 'Community cafe' is easy to visit but more being 'commercial'. This space is a combine of the good points of the both, making up for the disadvantage each other .

 Desde que me he dado cuenta, en Tokio, la apuerta de 'Kissa Lavanderia' en Ryogoku, a principios de 2018 puede ser el comienzo de estos movimentos. Cuando la visite en Febrero de 2019,  ya usado por muchos residentes locales y ha sido un buen espacio comunitario.

 Como 'rental space' o 'community cafe', la facilidad similar existaba antes. La differencia difinitiva de estos es, usando mixto de funciones y enfocando en la vida de su barrio. Aunque teniendo varios actividades, es dificil a visitar 'rental space' sin-proposito. 'Community cafe' es facil a visitar, pero se es mas de 'commercial'. Este espacio es la union de los buenos puntos de los dos, compensando la desventaja entre si.

喫茶ランドリーは訪問した時には大部分がカフェ利用のお客さんだったが、奥のスペースではお母さんたちが少人数でワークショップをしていたり、ランドリーで洗濯をする横で近所の子供たちがゲームをしていたりと、その場所の生活に根付いている印象を受けた。

When I visited 'Kissa Laundry', most of the visitors are using cafe, but at the part, a small group of mothers was doing workshop in the back, and some children in the neighborhood played game beside of the laundry. There is a impression of rooting strongly to the life of the neighborhood.

Cuando yo visite a 'Kissa Laundry', la mayoria de los visitantes son usando la cafe, pero en la parte, un grupo pequeno de madres estaba haciendo workshop en la espalda, y los ninos en el vacindario jugaba game al lado de la lavanderia. Hay una imprecion de arraigando fuertemente a la vida del barrio.

この場所(両国)でもう一つ特徴的だったのが、道を歩いていた時には全くそんな居場所も人の気配も感じられない地域ということだった。(アプローチする時に本当にこの道で合っているか不安になったほどだ。)

グリッド状に整然とした幅員の広い車道と、全く人の顔の見えない高層マンションたち、店すらほぼ見当たらない。

しかし一見こんなコミュニティの砂漠に見える場所でも、喫茶ランドリーのような場所ができると住民が集まり利用もするし運営もする。このようなコミュニティや居場所が渇望されていたのではと思うほどだ。

Another charasteristic thing of the site is that, it seems no communities nor activities of the neighborhood, on its street. The street was wide, tidy in the grid, with many highrise appartments where you can't see those faces of residents, you can't find any shops there. Even though such site like 'the desert of community', residents come and meet up or operate the place; like 'Kissa Laundry'. Also I guessed that, those residents eager to having such a community space.

Otra cosa caracteristica del sitio es que, en la calle, se parece no communitarios ni actividades del bacindario. La calle era ancha, ordenada en la cuadricula, con muchos appartamentos altos donde no puedes ver las caras de los residentes, y no puedes encontrar algunas tiendas alli. A pesar que un sitio como 'el desierto del communitario', los residentes vienen y encontrar  o lo operan, al lugar como 'Kissa Laundry'. Tambien yo pienso que, aquellos residentes ansiosos por tener un espacio communitario como esto.
